“Houses of Wisdom are the centres of knowledge that carry information about our heritage, cultural, spiritual and other lived experiences. They may be our local mosques, madrasas, cultural centres, shops/businesses, elders in the community, teachers or relatives from home countries. Our aim for this project is to amplify the Black Muslim community in sub-saharan Afica and across the diaspora through showcasing the stories of the embodied knowledge in our spaces, places and people.”
